Nigeria's Foremost Section for Public Interest and Development Law
NBA-SPIDEL is the Nigerian Bar Association's section dedicated to using law as a force for justice, accountability, and national development. We represent the conscience of the legal profession — carrying forward the legacy of Gani Fawehinmi SAN and ensuring that the law serves every Nigerian, not just the privileged few.

Public Interest Litigation
Our newly reconstituted Litigation Committee is actively identifying and taking on cases that challenge unconstitutional governance and protect the rights of ordinary Nigerians.
Legal Aid Expansion Initiative
In partnership with the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, we are working to close the justice gap for indigent Nigerians, with priority focus on underserved regions like the South South.
SPIDEL Media & Rapid Response
A dedicated media network and rapid response team that ensures SPIDEL's voice is heard quickly and clearly whenever justice, rights, or democratic values come under threat.
Custodial & Justice Reform
We are pushing for real reform in Nigeria's correctional system — tackling prison overcrowding, illegal juvenile detention, and the weak implementation of non-custodial sentencing.
